Village

You are not alone. There is a village.

A safe Ubuntu-inspired space to share, reflect, learn and be supported while raising children between cultures.

Under the Tree

Rooted, sheltered and held.

Across many African communities, the tree has long been a place of gathering, wisdom, storytelling, rest and shared care. It offers roots, shade and shelter.

For Raising Between Worlds, the tree reminds us that no mother was meant to stand alone. We gather beneath its branches to reflect, share, learn and rebuild the village around our children.

A large African tree in warm golden light, symbolising roots, shelter and community.

How the village works

Small, thoughtful spaces for real conversation and practical encouragement.

Share

Tell the truth about your motherhood experience.

Feel

Be understood without having to explain everything.

Learn

Explore tools that help with identity, boundaries and connection.

Rebuild

Help shape the village our children can grow from.

Motherhood circles

Circles are small group sessions where mothers can talk openly about parenting between cultures, family expectations, discipline, identity, faith, language, school life and emotional wellbeing.

  • Facilitated reflection prompts
  • Gentle, confidential conversation
  • Practical tools to try at home
  • Connection with mothers walking a similar road
